Right away, you’ll notice everything has been improved. The look is cleaner. There are a ton more features. Here’s a quick walkthrough of what you’ll see:

• An overhauled UI, from the check-in screen down to your friends list.

• Explore! Get personalized recommendations on places to go, from your past check-ins, your friends’, and the whole foursquare community. Search for what you want (like a lobster roll) or just tap an activity (like ‘drinks’ or ‘food’). And, for those of you who like deals, tap the ‘Specials’ button to find Specials nearby that are perfect for you.

• Speaking of Specials, this update allows you to grab daily deals around you from our five partners – LivingSocial, Gilt City, BuyWithMe, YP.com, and zozi. Seamless savings without leaving foursquare.
• The full leaderboard. See how you’re doing compared to your friends.
